Backend Software Engineer

At CraneCloud, I gained significant experience working with large amounts of data as part of my role in building a custom Python backend for a multi-cloud software platform. One of my key responsibilities was designing and implementing data pipelines to handle substantial data volumes efficiently. I leveraged technologies such as Apache Airflow and Kafka to orchestrate and process data at scale. At Mkoba Africa, I automated the real-time processing of transaction data using Google Sheets and Jupyter Notebooks, demonstrating my ability to manage and analyze data in various formats and sizes. My experience at Harmonic Labs involved building data pipeline tools to serve MongoDB and EraDB clients, further solidifying my expertise in managing large datasets. Throughout these roles, I consistently worked with diverse datasets, ranging from financial transactions to job posting data. I utilized a combination of technologies such as Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform and AWS to handle and process data effectively. My hands-on experience managing and processing large volumes of data equips me with the skills necessary to excel in roles requiring proficiency in data management, analysis, and scalability.
